About Kangaroo

Kangaroos have been the standard in motorcaddies for walking golfers for over 40 years. In 1969, Bill Ganskopp was an avid walking golfer who played year-round at Red Fox Country Club in Tryon, North Carolina. He found carrying his bag in winter disrupted his game. By summertime, Bill was breezing around the course with his first motorcaddie prototype. Kangaroo Golf was born 3 years later.

Since then, we’ve been committed to a few simple ideas:
  • Design and build the best electric caddie for walking golf on the market in our Western North Carolina factory. Kangaroos are durable and designed to handle even the hilliest of golf courses.
  • Build personal relationships with each Kangaroo owner. We value getting to know each of our customers. If you need service, you’ll be helped directly by someone in our factory. You’re also welcome to visit our showroom in Columbus, North Carolina for a factory tour!
  • Promote walking golf and healthy living. We’re passionate about golf, and we want to see the sport grow. We want players to experience the joy of the game with all the benefits of healthy exercise.

Kangaroos are more than just fancy push carts. They handle hills with ease, and are motorized, so that you don’t have to strain yourself transporting your bag. These remote control golf trolleys will help you lower your scores, have more fun on the course, and enjoy more exercise than you would get from riding a golf cart. Studies have shown that the average walking golfer travels 6 miles, and burns 1,000 calories per round.
